I agree with you, Jane. But I happen to read Pete's comment and also agree with him. I think it's going to take some time, if things change at all. I want to believe change for the better will come soon, but honestly, things are scary in our country. Never before have we felt this way. People have been emboldened to act in any way they see fit regardless of the effect their actions have on others. That's frightening, to say the least. But I will hold onto your words and hope for the best. Hugs to you and Tim. xoxo
Oh my lovely friend, we have fears about our country too. So much secrecy and high-handed decisions causing pain...I'm not sure we are seeing what's driving this, but I hold hope we will and then the balance can be redressed. Much love to you both from us. Xxx 🩷🩷
I think this fear factor will take some time to resolve. The whole idea of being close to someone could cost you your life was touted during the Covid crisis. It's no wonder that trust needs to be rebuilt. You and your neighbor did it the right way. Wishing you and Tim a peaceful weekend.
Hello John, yes, I forgot how we were set up to dis-trust each other, and yes, it will take time to re-build the trust and our connection to each other. Much love to you, Mrs H, Twiggy and Tempeste and we hope Twiggy is starting to feel much better. Hugs for you all. Xx ❤️
I won't go so far as to blame this on one individual, but when those in positions with a larger platform set a poor example, others tend to model these disrespectful behaviors. It's no different than a child learning positive and negative behaviors from a parent. We all need good role models. Despite the direction the world is going, the vast majority of people are decent.
You are right, Pete, we are seeing mirrored behaviour that is 'so-called' acceptable, and yes, most people are decent. Much love to you and Debbie, and we wish you a lovely weekend. Xx ❤️
I agree with you totally Jane. The Buddhist would say that we are driven by grasping and avoidance. Grasping is accelerated by cultures valuing people solely by their wealth and the material possessions they own. Avoidance is fear-based and our current government is totally advancing fear and contempt among the population. For them fear equals control. Many are struggling day today just to meet basic needs. This comes at a time where in contrast we have many who are obscenely wealthy. They wish to instill in fighting amongst us all and fear is a powerful weapon. So cheers to you and your neighbor who moved past that and who bathe in joy. May peace always surround you.
Oh H, may we see what is unfolding and learn how to hold each other with kindness and compassion. Much ❤️ to you, and your words from 'Highways' are profound. Wishing you a lovely weekend. Xx ❤️
Far too often we disregard the common courtesy of listening. Another's problem does nor resonate because we focus too much on ourselves. There exists a common code in Knighthood which if followed puts others needs first. Perhaps we should be encouraging this code or similar in lessons in school though that can't happen in the U.S. as they dismantle education and fail to focus on not repeating yesterday's mistakes. History does and will repeat itself. I suggest a new mantra of ' close your mouth and open your ears' would help if applied alongside lessons in how to help bring about true equality and a regard for peace. There are usually solutions to problems if we first recognise a problem exists, and the need to overcome it. Cwtch
Hello David, your thoughts in first recognising that a problem exists ring true, and listening is a skill. Hugs for you flowing over the hills, it's lovely to hear from you. ❤️ Xx

Thank you Dear Jane.my ability to listen is most valuable to me. I'd hate my empathy for others to die before I'm able to try and help. Huge Hugs
You always try to help, lovely David, and you are a good listener. Xx ❤️
