Like you Jane, I love creating, and have tried my hand at making many various things. The fun part is in the creating.. And yes, not all will be successful, and Like Edison each creation even if not successful helps us gain experience to create better things in the future.. And lets not forget the JOY we gain while in that creating process. :-)
Your earrings are beautiful Jane.. May we all aspire to creating through our Hopes and Dreams that those Wishes we all of us hold, come true..
Much love and many blessings Janeπ... xxx and Happy Creating!... xxx πππ
Happy creating to you, too, dearest Sue, and thank you. π§‘β¨π§‘
You are so right about the joy in creating and the peace and solace it brings. To make something by hand is special, and we can feel our heritage and the skills that have been passed from generation to generation.
May the Wishes we all hold come true, while we create together.
What a lovely post, Jane, and thanks for the mention. That was a surprise, and your earrings are gorgeous! I'm glad you shared them. I love the Edison story, and these lines of yours that resonate:
"I refuse to look at all the hours spent creating as lost, as I believe that nothing is ever wasted. Each experience has value, and each time we have the gift of starting again, with a little bit of added wisdom."
Cheers to never letting go of our hopes, dreams, and wishes.
Yes, lovely Lauren, hereβs to nurturing our dreams, hopes and wishes. Thank you for your loving thoughts. Much love to you and Matt and we hope youβve had a good weekend. Xxx β€οΈ
I loved the story about Edison. Sometimes we fail to recognize so-called failures as simply steps to success. Thanks for the reminder, Jane. Love to you and Tim, and wishes for a beautiful weekend.
Thank you, John. Weβve been away in Whitby, up on the North Yorkshire coast and have had a lovely time. We hope you have all had a good weekend too. Much love to you, Mrs H, Twiggy & Tempeste. Xxx β€οΈ
I wrote this nearly two weeks ago, H, and with the events from the last few days, we all need our hopes, dreams and wishes more than ever donβt we? Much love to you and thank you. Xxx β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Thank you, Darlene. I remember watching a friend learn intricate bead and stitch embroidery for decorating bridal gowns. She learnt to stop on each piece when it felt done. Her instinct guided her. She chose not to do it at all in the end and gifted me all her threads, yet she felt that nothing she had created was wasted. Much love to you and P. Xxx β€οΈ

Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul
and sings the tunes without the words and never stops at all.

Much love to you Jane!
As a dreamer of dreams, I resonate with this post. I also believe that no time is wasted dreaming and engaging in creative endeavours.
