Wow. This is beautiful and brutal in the way grief actually is.
I love that you name the part most people skip past, that there are side effects of loss that never make it into the literature, they just live in bodies trying to keep going. Love does not die, so grief has to live somewhere, and for most of us that ends up being the nervous system, the calendar, the small daily rituals no one else notices.
Writing from inside that reality, not outside it, is a huge service to both camps, the ones who are grieving and the ones who think they understand because they have read about it. You are not just telling a story of loss, you are mapping what it means to stay here after the impact and keep choosing to live anyway.
Thank you, Jules, for your deeply kind and thoughtful comment. You are right about how grief lives in our nervous system, the calendar and the small daily rituals that are significant to us. Beautifully expressed. Debby powerfully writes about grief, from her shattered experience, and as you say, that will help many in both camps. Thank you for being here. Xx 🩷
Gosh Jane, I am so far behind your postings here... And How wonderful to see your review of our mutual lovely friend Debby. Her journey through grief I know has and still is quite tough, but she always shares from her heart, and the wisdom she shares I know will help many who read here wise words written in this personal journey through her own grieving process...
Many thanks for sharing xx Sending love and Hugs xx 🙏💖
