This is so beautiful and calming, Jane. When I read about the ice cream van, I was carried back to my childhood days when that music on the block brought lots of smiles. I enjoyed the goodness in your words and the timely poem. Hugs and love! xoxo
Hello dearest UB, I am relieved to hear that and grateful for your thoughtfulness in letting me know. Your loving support is 💕 much love to you, with hugs Xxx 🩷🦄🩷
Thanks for sharing your respite of feel-good moments with us Jane. (I am now redirected right to your Substack page here instead of your blog, so I think this works! Big hugs UB 💜💙🦄 xx
I felt such peace Jane, while reading your post... Nothing quite beats the song of a blackbird, or the smell of coal and oil.... :) I had a great Uncle who was a train driver in Nottingham, who when I was a child took me to the engine sheds... An experience I have not forgotten....
I can picture you sitting smiling, contented, knitting, in the dapple shade, brewing much needed cuppas :-) ...
Your raised bed looks a delight.. and the rooks and crows love dipping their food, .. The pigeons here love our bird baths, but make it such a mess, I have to clean out most days :-)
Thank you for your Friday piece of balm my friend..
I hope you and Tim have w peaceful weekend, filled with love.. xx 💖
Dearest Sue, what magical memories of your Great Uncle taking you to the engine sheds. They are so full of history and energy. They hold a sense of belonging, don't they?
Thank you for your lovely, kind comment.
We hope you and your two B's have had a lovely, long weekend, and you all have a good week ahead. Much love from us both to you all, always. Jane & Tim Xxx 🩷🌻✨🩷
Way back, to get you Mechanical Engineering degree ones ‘thesis’ was to design an operating steam engine … Tim seems right there ! Glad you both are enjoying the season !
What a great fact from your past, Pete. We are enjoying the season, the sunshine and the steam engines. We hope you and Marge are too? Much love to you both, from both of us. Xxx 😘❤️
What a lovely post, Jane! So many good-feeling moments. Interesting what brings people together. Instead of fearing our neighbors, we should try and get to know them better.
Hello Pete, how wonderful to see you here, and thank you for reading and leaving your thoughtful comment. Hopefully, by stripping out my paywall and making all my posts, audio, written and eBooks available to everyone, it has made it easier for you to comment. I have set my system to also accept comments from everyone. I hope you and Debbie have a lovely weekend, and I do appreciate you persisting with my new system. Xx ❤️
