I know, this saving-for-best has been ingrained in us. I have a lovely set of Rosenthal china gifted to me by my German boss. It gets used for Christmas and when we have special guests, which isn't very often anymore. I dragged it across the Atlantic when we moved to Spain. When Covid hit, I decided to use the china every day. Why not? It's a setting for 12; if something gets broken, there are plenty more pieces! This journal is very special. I'm glad you are using it.
