Good on you UB. Sometimes swear words just make us feel better, lol. Just as there are those who crave attention so badly - I keep far, far away. I've had a lifetime of practise. LOL Hugs xox ๐งก๐งก๐ฆ
It was lovely that Tim and his brother and you, get to meet up regularly, and the choice of venue sounded a perfect one...
It is sad that some people crave attention, and I could visualise from your narration the scene, and the partner's inner sadness, trying to please her, as the lady was so self centred in her arranging of her pose etc..
Distancing oneself from the outer world, the media, and the confrontations that creates, can be a minefield to navigate.. I know I am stepping gingerly around avoiding the News items, as we can easily get caught up within the distractions they are meant to create..
As for the occasional outburst of profanities ๐.. We all do it Jane... I have found these last few weeks have had me cursing under my breath, as the calm of the Dreamwalker Household plummeted into utter chaos with major repair works and damage..
But keeping our balance, and being able to see the wider picture, and have others listen and understand help us all make the right choices in the end..
We send you both much love dear Jane and Tim.... Have a beautiful Week ๐๐๐ฆ
Oh my lovely, it's not easy to keep grounded and calm when your happy, loving bubble is plunged into yet more chaos and cold! We hope all is working properly now, you are warm, and the clear-up and re-decorating are manageable. ๐ค
When the budget landed last week, instantly, feeds were full of stories, and we saw how they are meant to divide from the titles. All that drama and chaos is best avoided, as it doesn't help anyone.
Thank goodness for the stability of your B, and my Tim. Broad shoulders, as you say, and yes, I know how grateful you and I are. I'm mixing my messages from you up here, but I know you understand.
Our love to you, your two B's and our happy bubbles. Xxxxxx ๐ฉท๐ค๐๐ฆ๐ซง๐ฉท
I think we all have some blue words from time to time. I remember a co-worker, and I decided that we needed to find more suitable words for the four-letter expression shortcuts we had fallen into the habit of using. We set up a fine system, and after a week, we called the improvement program off, and we went to a bar and spent the proceeds.
Oh, John, this made us chuckle. Glad you had a good time on the proceeds that came from your best intentions! Much love to you, Mrs H, Twiggy & Tempeste. Xxx โค๏ธ
My favorite swearing story comes from a parent-teacher conference. I was describing a student's proclivity for swearing during competitive games on the playground. The father shook his head and said, "I don't know where in the hell he gets that ******************** language from. The funniest part is that he was serious.
I'm so glad that I'm not married to an attention seeker. That behavior is exhausting to be around.
Oh, Pete, your story is hilarious. Tim and I laughed out loud! Yes, attention seeking behaviour is exhausting, and your Debbie is lovingly grounded, thank goodness. Much love to you both. Xxx โค๏ธ
We all like some attention, even the shy folks, but some people go overboard. I often ask if I can take a photo of a couple or a family enjoying a site. They love it and beam with joy. As for swearing, I'm glad I'm not the only one. My dad was a cowboy, and I learned from the best!
I remember listening to Stephen Fry being interviewed many years ago (or was it on QI? I forget) on the subject of swearing and he said it has been proven scientifically that swearing is good for us in that it lowers cortisol levels and blood pressure. You carry on swearing when you need to, my lovely! I have been encouraging my daughter to talk through her problems with me as often as possible. It does help with her anxiety levels even if we find no solution. Knowing someone is really listening to us is so comforting and as you say, merely hearing your own voice stating what difficulties you are having is very helpful. It unravels those knots in our thoughts. Xxx
So lovingly put, Clare. Thank you, my lovely. My swearing has continued. You are so right about having someone truly listen, as sometimes that is all we need. Much love to you all, with hugs. Xxx โค๏ธ

You are so kind, Darlene. How wonderful that your Dad was a cowboy and you learned from him. Much love to you and Paul. โค๏ธ Xxx
