A significant bit of advice, Jane. I loved the poem and your philosophy on "mud wrestling." There are so many out there who have a need to be right and will use any means to get to that point. I think civil discourse is a dead item in our world today
Oh, how this post resonates, Jane! I love the metaphor you use; it's a perfect visual! And this line is so true: "more often than not, nothing changes." There have been many times I want to voice my opinion, but I know nothing will change. The conversation might turn awkward for both, and most likely, will be a no win discussion. I also love your line about responding with your feet. It's like that old adage, "turn the other cheek" or remove yourself from the situation. Thank you for this beautiful reminder. Much love to you and Tim for a lovely weekend. xoxoxo 🥰🌷
Hello lovely Lauren, you are so special. Thank you for your lovely thoughts. I'd forgotten the old adage 'turn the other cheek'. 😘
I have left a review for your beautiful King Copper, but it's only showing on the UK site. I do wish Amazon would amalgamate the reviews across all the regions. It would be much kinder to authors. 🧡
We wish you and Matt a lovely weekend. With much love and hugs. Xxxxx 🩷😘🩷✨️🤗
I learned long ago as well … don’t bother about what others think (or say) about you. Half won’t even like you and the other half don’t care …yes, quiet respectful conversation is an art form!
Mud wrestling is a great metaphor, and there is way too much of it going on. I also decided many years ago to agree to disagree and move on. There are certain topics we just don't discuss in our family. We can meet and have a good time without any mud wrestling as a result. I still have my copy of Richard Carlson's Don't Sweat The Small Stuff (printed in 1997) and often refer to it. I wish you and Tim a lovely weekend (with no mud wrestling!)❤️❤️
Hello, Darlene, what a great way to have peaceful family get-togethers. ❤️ Ahh, it was 1997, thank you. Thank you, we wish you and Paul a lovely weekend. ❤️ Xx
Love to you and Tim and a wish for a peaceful weekend away from any mud sports.
Much love to you, Mrs H, Twiggy and Tempeste, and we wish you all a peaceful weekend. Xx 🩷

Oh yes John, this need to be right is exhausting! It squeezes everything tight shut...including balanced discourse. I hold hope that returns. ❤️

Hello, lovely Pete, yes, you are right, it is an art form. Much love to you and Marge, and we wish you both a lovely weekend. Xx 🩷
Thank you for this, Jane. Somethings to think about. X
Thank you, Judith. We wish you both a lovely weekend. Xx ❤️
And yourselves, Jane. It's going to be a weekend to stay indoors here in Pembrokeshire, I think - lots of rain!
We were just saying the same, Judith! Very wet. We've only just looked at the weekend weather and it's chucking it down right now. 🩷

I love how you’ve turned mud-wrestling as a metaphor here Jane…it’s a great reminder to hold our own counsel and not get splattered! Thank you 🙏❤️
Thank you, Esther. You are so kind. I hope your launch of Tears, Tools & Treasure is gathering pace. Much love to you. 🩷 Xx
