I loved your story UB. Sounds almost like mine. I joined the womens gym for same reasons. I also got bored working out, so I joined classes I enjoyed instead. Three years 6 classes a week and going strong! Yay us, finding what works. 💜💙 xo

Finding what suits us Jane within a circle of compatible people is not always easy. I remember joining a Zumba class with a friend years ago now... I would travel 20 minutes to get to her home then another 15 minutes drive to the class... The young girl taking the class was enthusiastic, and I joined the class half way through the season so I was a newbie to all the exercise moves...

I felt the odd one out, but I kept going because of my friend. And would just laugh when I turned the wrong way to all the others :-) ... Being able to laugh at ourselves always helps :-) haha... And we had some laughs ..

You either feel comfortable or you don't... So I am pleased you kept going and were guided to the right class of water babies :-) that bonded you all together..

My exercise today is the garden, and some gentle QiGong exercises in a morning, Oh and the windows today :-) haha... Yoga, my daughter does... I admire those who can... I know I certainly can't :-)

Loved the post Jane... Have a lovely weekend my friend xx <3 💖✨🙏

Hello dearest Sue, I'm so glad you and your friend had some laughs...they're much needed.

Like you, gardening is a lovely way to exercise, and funny you mention cleaning your windows because I cleaned all our wooden blinds this week. 😀

I keep forgetting QiGong!

We wish you and your two B's a lovely weekend, with much love from us both. Xxx 🩷🌸✨️🩷

I really loved this story, Jane, because it resonates in so many ways, and like Pete wrote, there are many lessons to glean. I grew up with pools in my backyard, my parents' house when I was young, and both of my sister's homes. I always thought Matthew and I would have a pool because we both love to swim, but that hasn't been the case. Recently, we began to go bike riding, and we rode around our kids' old high school, passing the huge pool. They offer public swimming, so we talked about checking it out. We haven't yet, but swimming is so good for the body, so it would help any aches and pains we have. :) So, you provided the soft nudge. I've never done yoga, but that and pilates are options to explore also. Thanks for sharing! Love to you both. xoxoxo

Thank you, dearest Lauren, 😘 fof your lovely comment. Life, and us, are never static, and I guess what we need, feel drawn to and ends up working for us is in flux. I wish you and Matt fun as you explore what works for you both. It's special that you explore together. Much love to you both, with hugs and we wish you both a lovely weekend. Xxx 🩷😘🌸🩷

It isn't easy to find the right exercise. I was lucky to have connected with my yoga instructor immediately. She could tell I was nervous and unsure of myself, and she worked with me. We are still friends. I do most of my yoga at home now, based on what she taught me.
